I'm not gonna tell you who this is yet, because I just want to test the likeness. So who do you think this is? She's a celebrity, yes. Oh, sheesh, *afifaery1189 got it seconds after I submitted. I'm that good, huh? (Kidding, kidding! ) So yes, it's Emma / Hermione from HP, and I got the reference pic from emmawatson-fans.com but I think the site has changed and I can't find the pic anymore.
I was supposed to be reading something, schoolbooks actually, but as always, I found other, much more fun things to do. So when I came across the photo I based this from, I just felt like drawing it. And so I did. This was all "eyeball"-ed, and so it doesn't look exactly like the person.
The hair on her shoulder is way, way under-finished compared to the rest of the picture. I just didn't feel like looking at all the itty bitty bits of curls and drawing them, and making things up is not my strength.
This looks just like Hermione in the HP films, am I right? It's a wonderful portrait, fantastic likeness, really realistic and I like your unusual shading technique, I think it works well.
The hair is just as perfect as her face - and the old paper look enhances it all round. Great work!
