Rainbow Galaxy Box

So, because I brought back a stack of old notes and exercises from my two-year A-Level studies, I have a bunch of paper to recycle, right? This is one of the products that my Physics Unit 1 notes have become.

The box started as a cardboard one, to which I added more cardboard to make the "lip" and top and bottom pieces. Then came the torn strips of paper and glue. I also made those star/flower shapes (most of the others are now magnets/pins/charms) using paper pulp smushed into cookie cutters, and when those dried, glued them on, painted some plaster filler on the whole thing (to somewhat seal the absorbent paper and smoothen the bumpy shapes), waited for that to dry and then sanded the whole thing.

And then painted with acrylics. The white toothbrush-splatters came as an afterthought because my blending of the rainbow colours turned out rather crappy.
